Hi!

I was wondering, is there a way you can judge the reliability of particular hosts, without having to ask for the opinions of current users.

This does sound near impossible to me, but that could be because I'm not as experience as most people here ^^;;

Thank you in advance for your time *^^*

Well, you can set up a monitor, though these are only as accurate as the monitor itself.

hmm... try send them an e-mail and that is to test their response time.

And you might see their server uptime, connection speed, CPU load, harware specifications, how many user per server? Any heavy duty site on the server? Possible ask for some client site.

1+1 cents:)

I'd say the best way is to talk (email) with other users of the host. Most monitors are for a limited time (24 hours or less usually if it's a free service). I sure hope a host doesn't go down every 24 hours!
