Just to let you know that my first real problem with FDC in more than 8 months has been resolved in less than 7 mins!!!!

I opened a ticket at 8:36 CEST and at 8:48 it was already closed and solved!

Great work!

First "real problem"?

I guess the multiple network outages at FDC over the past few months were not a "real problem" for you?

Also them capping speeds at 5 Mbps is *not* a problem for you?

I think they were speaking mostly of the support response time, not of the quality of the network.

sghost? I know rackspace isn't lowering to the level of spamming, so what's your purpose in spamming their URL across the boards?

And this has..what relevence to this thread?

OP:

While you're happy with FDC, they've been quite the hot topic around here lately. I think most, instead of giving "two thumbs up" would rather put "two boots up...." ..I'll let everyone else finish that sentence.

I guess none of their "recent" problems along with all the problems for the past few months haven't affected you?

My server is colocated with Yipes bandwidth. It never had big network outages in the past few months. I have more than 99% uptime. I don't know if they affected leased servers...

My server is NOT capped at 5 mbps... never gone below 10-12 mbps... Perhaps colocated servers have a better network configuration.

FDC wouldn't dare make colocated customers angry lest they get beat up in their own datacenter. Most dedicated customers don't live anywhere near the datacenter and have less direct contact with FDC.

This thread and the performance of the Cubs suggest otherwise!

You can see how long it was down and how many people were affected in this thread. (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=193968&highlight=FDC+Yipes+Down) Unless of course Colocated servers at FDC use a different Yipes line?

It's good to hear a lot of positive feedbacks on FDC

Many used Cogent/Yipes mix, now they get switched over to using Cogent/Yipes/XO

He specifically stated he was on Yipes, so that is what I addressed. Nonetheless the network was apparently down judging from the posts in that thread, whatever the *mix*....

Yesterday we waited 11 hours and 58 minutes for a simple task to be done.

Today we waited 2 hours and 3 minutes for a server reboot.

Kinda disappointing after a few months of reasonable response times,
