I've uploaded a few clips to remote host. When trying to view on-line, nothing happens at first. Then, after a while 36Kb (!) downloads. Then, after another minute waiting, the browser either stalls or starts behave insane.
Take a look at http://www.weazeldicks.au.com/quicktimetest/
What am I doing wrong? Do I need a server script to make it work?
Heeeeeellp!!!

I'm not sure, but the 'remote host' may not allow remote file linking. Otherwise, no guesses...

I can't even explain stuff any longer.....aaaarrrggghhhhh
I mean that the clips are uploaded into the website space I'm renting at a webhost. As opposed to having my own machine as server.

I see, well this seems like a job for your web host to figure out. Have you emailed them asking if there is a problem with the server? You didn't mention if you had/hadn't...

I receive this error: Cannot open. Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (Error=8007000D) when looking in the error details. So I'd probably check if all the paths are correct.

The humiliating attempt should be found at
www.vendelcommunications.com/quicktimetest/test.html

I haven't gone there recently (don't want to see it..), and I hope the server technicians haven't kicked it out....

BTW: mail me directly if you understand what I've done

Thanks

The problem is caused by Internet Explorer 5.5 & 6. Internet explorer is moving away from the plugin architecture to an ActiveX component only architecture. This is why you are having issues with the Quicktime Plugin for your browser. The best solution is to visit apples website, they have an activeX component for you to install now that will fix the problem.

Thanks, ckizer.

I checked the URL you posted. Unfortunatelly, that solution goes for IE users on WINDOW only. I'm on Mac, and the problem remains.
Any other suggestion is more than welcome....
