I received many quotes for the last 3 days. I know some can't give the bandwidth at the price I want either they are 2nd or 3rd-tier host (resellers) or their upstream
pipe provider is charging them "damn" expensive bandwidth. Some are buying at $2.00/Gb, so it's impossible for them to sell and compete with the larger host!!

Here is a conclusion. Anyone can offer or suggest a good host, please reply.

Dual PIII850 (or 800), Dual 18 Gb SCSI HD, 1024 M Ram, 200 Gb Transfer per month, "reburstable". Also quote cost per extra Gb of transfer.

Our current bandwidth usage per server:
400k/s at extreme case (1%), 200k/s at peak (9%), 70k/s on average (90%).

Here are the 3 best quote I got:

1. $330 + $295 per month, 300 gig. Extra $2/gig. "non-reburstable".
2. $380 per month, 200 gig. Extra $2/gig. Reburstable up to 2mb/s. 95% rule applies.
3. $299 + $850 one time upgrade. 300 gig. Extra $1.50/gig. Reburstable, unlimited, NO 95% rule. 10% discount (per month) if I pay quarterly!

Package 1 is great but the machine cost is a bit high. It's monthly, not one time. Good customer support is why I quote them here.

Package 2 is not bad but I am not sure how far can they go. They have "not much client", and I could end up in trouble if they went down.

Package 3 is among the best offer. It's a reseller from http://www.efreeservers.com and bandwidth could go down further if I buy more. But the problem is the
"customer service". Many good comment from users but the setup time is 3 weeks. That could risk a large site if something happen, like a reboot needed and
nobody there to press the button for you. Package 3 requires 20 months contract.

I liked package 2 but I need a more established host who has the kind of traffic. Only host with that kind of volume can get cheaper bandwidth cost (and lower cost for us!).

Anyone?
