I bought a domain from our beloved Chet Wilkens of hostorb a while back, the domain was 3314.com. It was pushed to a new registryfly account by him and I really had no need for it other than some testing etc.. Well a few weeks ago I go to use it for some testing and what do you know it is vanished out of my account. Looks like some domain purchasing company or whatever has it now.
What I would like to know is how this is possible without any notification to me and who I can contact to rant about it. I went to registryfly and all I see is a crummy faq and no type of support contact at all?
Anyone have a phone number for them?

I normallly deal with Tim Shor (a senior manager) or one of the other managers can help
tim.shor@unifiednames.com or support@registerflysupport.com
Tim is usually very helpful and knowledgable

often times domains on the market place get bought, but you cannot add/remove them (from my experience). It really is a horrible system. I dont recommend them, their live support is a joke too.

Yes but how is it allowed to happen, I was pretty lucky as I emailed the guy mentioned above and he got back to me in about 5 minutes :)
Going to try and get it straightened out hopefully soon, I only paid $1.35 for the domain but I still bought it.

Tim is usually very helpful and knowledgable Other than answering very simple questions, RegisterFly's support is not good. dmaven is right, however, Tim *usually* straighten's things out or at least explains why they went off-track.

I cannot share your experience since in each case where I sold a name it was instantly removed. Not "horrible" from my view

I purchased my domain name from registerfly two years ago. I renewed it in July for another year and then two days ago I noticed that my site was gone! The host says the domain is inactive!!! I tried contacting registerfly and my email bounced back!!! Now I have people bitching me out because they can't get to their material on my site--which shall remain nameless because, even though I am unable to purchase the domain through another company, and even though I can not get ahold of registerfly, I have this terrible feeling that it is somehow somewhere available for purchase.
What the hell?

Welcome to the forum, jambafish, but this thread is over a year old...
Why don't you try doing a whois on your domain name at www.whois.sc or http://www.internic.net/whois.html . This will tell you whether the site is registered or not and to what registrar it is placed with.
RegisterFly also offers chat and telephone support.
