Well you may of seen these but i had not so i thought i would share.. :)

Customer: "You've got to fix my computer. I urgently need to print a
document, but the computer won't boot properly."
Tech Support: "What does it say?"
Customer: "Something about an error and non-system disk."
Tech Support: "Look at your machine. Is there a floppy inside?"
Customer: "No, but there's a sticker saying there's an Intel inside."

Tech Support: "Just call us back if there's a problem. We're open 24 hours."
Customer: "Is that Eastern time?"

Tech Support: "Ok, now click your left mouse button."
Customer: (silence) "But I only have one mouse."

Customer: "Excuse me can I use this disk? It has a hole in it.

Tech Support: "Do you have 3 1/2 inch diskettes?"
Customer: "No, I only have 3 of them."

Tech Support: "I need you to right-click on the Open Desktop."
Customer: "Ok."
Tech Support: "Did you get a pop-up menu?"
Customer: "No."
Tech Support: "Ok. Right click again. Do you see a pop-up menu?"
Customer: "No."
Tech Support: "Ok, sir. Can you tell me what you have done up until this
point?"
Customer: "Sure, you told me to write 'click' and I wrote 'click'."

Customer: "Now what do I do?"
Tech Support: "What is the prompt on the screen?"
Customer: "It's asking for 'Enter Your Last Name.'"
Tech Support: "Ok, so type in your last name."
Customer: "How do you spell that?"

Customer: "I received the software update you sent, but I am still getting
the same error message."
Tech Support: "Did you install the update?"
Customer: "No. Oh, am I supposed to install it to get it to work?"

Now the funny thing about this my wife sent those to me and the very next day from anther one of our techs i get this.. LOL

Craig,
Where did the test email I wrote addressed to me@mydomain.com go so I
could read it? That's the question. I checked both Outlook & Notes, and I
can't find that email I sent out. Should it be at Vortech mail server????? I
don't know . . .where does my mail go when I send it out.

And yes he was using me@mydomain.com..... LOL.

I used to be a tech support supervisor for a local isp. One day, an old man walks in the door with his keyboard. When I asked him why he brought his keyboard in, he said it was because he needed our help changing his password.

Oh ... is that how it works? The same thing with changing MySQL password too? I once forgotten my mysql root password, ended up 5 hours solving it ... Dang ... now, that's easy ...

cheers,

Umm, ok. But it did happen. It was an old Chinese man who could barely see (still don't know how he drove up there). :)

I've heard lots and seen some first hand myself.

Complaints about the coffe tray breaking, etc.

Best one is guy phones up because hes not getting anything out of the pc, tech goes through various ideas with him to no avail and eventually asks him if the power lead is plugged in. Cant see is the reply, why not asks the tech, its dark says the man, put the light on says the tech, cant says the man, theres a power cut.
