i need some help in here ppl.
i wanna host my site locally and here are the ISP specs:
- 1 static IP address
- max download debit : 1Mbps
- max upload debit : 256Kbps
- max download traffic monthly : 10GB
so is this any good or what?
i'm really getting :confused: with all this

It kinda depends... What kind of connection is this? DSL, Cable, T1? DSL and cable lines really are not meant for hosting. They are not stable enough. DSL/Cable go down all the time. If you are hosting a site you don't really want it going down from time to time.
Another thing to think about is security. You will have to setup and maintain a firewall system to protect the site.
But if you know what you are doing and have a good connection it will work great!

Well first its cable. Your connection will go up and down. 2 you only have an upload of 256kps. If you have a popular site it may get bogged down with users.
If it isn't a big site with a lot of visitors you may be ok. If you already have the hardware you can also go into a colocated agreement with a regular web host.
PS I got a 404 error when checking out the system.
