WHM/Cpanel 8. something...
I've increased the bandwidth on the affected account but it still shows as suspended. I've even changed the package of the account and still nothing. I restarted httpd hoping that would have an effect and realize that IT HAS PLENTY OF BANDWITH NOW ARRRGH... still nothing.
Is there a delay? Is there anything else I'm supposed to do?
Tearing my hair out here...

Is this doing fine now? You can try suspend/unsuspend through WHM and see if it helps.

Nothing to worry.. it should be okay but if it still persists then create another package and move the account to the new package it will clear itself.
When everything's back to normal, move(edit) the account back to the original package.

It took quite a while but it's fine now. Either it finally realized there was a change or my host did something. Thanks for the replies.

Increasing the bandwidth doesn't automatically unsuspend the account. You need to manually do it using the Suspend/Unsuspend function. Try it the next time.

If you Suspend an account and Unsuspend it later it will work immediately but if the bandwidth exceeds and the account get suspended, it will freeze the account and takes some time to clear the notice that appears even though you have Unsuspend the account... the only way is to create a new package and move the account to it and it would be immediately updated and later moved it back to the original package when all is cleared. Delete the new package that is not required after you finished using it .
I had a client where the bandwidth exceeded and even increasing the bandwidth and Unsuspend the account couldn't work and I had to create a new package for immediate results as mentioned above.

If an account is exceeds the bandwidth, after you raise the limit, you have to go into WHM and select "Reset Exceeded Bandwidth Sites" Or something like that.

You may be right LegacyCX as probably it's the correct way to do it. But I haven't tried that feature will do it the next time round. :D

I checked again and it's in the WHM(root)
Account Function:
Unsuspend bandwidth exceeders
And it says:
" This will unsuspend any account that is getting a bandwidth exceeded message until the next bandwidth check. "
So if I am not mistaken, there is a delay time before Cpanel clears the notice/message and reset the account.

That's good news LegacyCX, and I hope to utilize that feature should I experience it again. Thanks for your good advice.

You can use the unsuspend bandwidth exceeders for immediate response, but it will unsuspend all of them. Unfortunately Cpanel lacks decent options in this area.
