Boy am I glad we got a merchant account 6 months ago. I only wish we were completely converted from 2c. At least some of their systems are working. We recieved the nightly processing emails for recurring billing/failed billings as normal. So, it is probably another DOS attacking their Internet facing systems... I guess we'll find out when they come back online. We went to 2 checkout and Pay Systems before we started up. 2 checkout wouldn't even reply to any emails we sent. So we went to Pay Systems and have been there ever since. There was a problem with PS once...but it was fixed within a matter of hours. We did use Hostcharge for 2 months, but, as most of us know, that's a dead company now. Took some money from us and ran! We did 6 months ago, as I mentioned before. But, its not easy to switch hundreds of billing accounts over night. We went through AmeriMerchant to get our account. Believe me, the $249 for the merchant account setup fee has more than paid for it self. Because the homepage is not critical to clients buying and selling, it was determined that it was better for 2CO to get no signups, than it was for buyers to have a potentially unpleasant purchase experience.
