I'm having problems adding "AddOn" domains to my account in cpanel X. The domains add fine, and it creates a subdomain and ftp account for each when I do it..

the problem i'm having is that the subdomains dont seem to be working, and neither does the domain name.

The nameservers are all correct;

NS1.WEBSTARHOSTING.NET
NS2.WEBSTARHOSTING.NET

and the main account domain works fine;

http://www.arch-nemesis.net

but domains I try to add on like

http://www.gyrlish.com and
http://www.designninja.net

dont seem to be working.

the subdomains dont work unless they're done by folder (I really dont know what to call this)

http://www.arch-nemesis.net/jessica
http://www.arch-nemesis.net/designninja/

but the subdomains like

http://jessica.arch-nemesis.net
http://designninja.arch-nemesis.net

dont work.

can anyone help? or at least explain to me what is going wrong?

Add-on Domains should work instantaneously when the Domain name has already propagated -- like yours has. First thing that comes to my mind is to check the httpd.conf file.

This really a question though, that you should be asking your Hoster. They should always be the first you turn to when having problems with your account. As they have total access to the Server(s), they can fix a problem faster than anyone. ;)

I didnt read the first post very thorougly, but sounds like the problem may be DNS Cacheing at the ISP DNS servers where the user has tried to access the subdomains before the subdomains were created in the NS Servers on the hosting server causing the ISP'S DNS servers to return NXDOMAIN everytime it is accessed until it is refreshed.
