So what RPG/MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) would you people reccomend? Right now I kinda play Diablo 2 LOD and warcraft. I dont play any MMORPG games but I might give Star Wars Galaxies a shot.

I used to play LOD, but then the server I played on got hacked and there was no dev team to fix it (you might know the history)...

Then I went play FWO (Http://www.fungwanonline.com), which is pretty good. It's 3D, and got a pretty decent sized client (343Mb); of course, that's not so big compared to The Sims Online beta (1.2 GB was it?) But I still I wouldn't suggest this to anyone with a 56K... You'll die trying to download the client :)

I was thinking of trying the sims online but wasent sure what would be all that different from single player. Never really got around to seeing how it would be like online.

The site is loading extremely slow, but the screenshots looks nice.
Is the game free? And where are their gameservers located, Asia?

Yes, it's in Beta right now, so its free. FWO Server is in Malaysia.
I think RO's client is quite big as well (~600Mb right?)

iRO is has been out of Beta for a few months now. They now charge $12/month for it. Comodo has just been released.

The RO client is around six hundred megabytes.

I have my own mmorpg and it's the best. (but I'm probably biased heh). [Well it's auctually a licenced server and customized client that was developed by UnFun Games www.firststaronline.net ]

My friends and I are working on finishing setting it up and hopefully we'll have it open to the public tomorrow.

But you can check out some screenshots...

I prefer Ultima Online, probably only because I've been playing Ultima games since the 80's, but it's fun.

How about StarCraft, Star Wars Battleground, or Gettysburg? I used to play some online StarCraft until some allies I didn't know would start their backstabbing and turn against ya or when some people would kick ya out for no apparent reason. I never believed in turning against your own allies so it was frustrating when people would do it for the fun of it. I used to have something like a 2:1 win to loss ratio and my roomie had more like a 3:1 win to loss ratio. After I broke into the triple digit wins, people started kicking me out of their games before they would even start. Since then I've found more enjoyment playing by myself or with people I know when we would ally and play only against computer opponents.

EverQuest was okay 4 years ago, but now it's not worth buying, very outdated.

I beat SWG in 5 weeks.

DOAC nerfed all my characters qualities.

~ So yes, I have been looking for some games too. Maybe EQ2 will be good.

Well I can't predict EQ2 future but I supose they farmed enough good ideas during EQ1 ;)
