Hi, I have came accross this forums and wondering if you can help me out.

I made a website for a client and they are very happy with it, now they are asking me how they can see which countries the website traffic is coming from. I have looked at www.thecounter.com but I think it detects country by domain ending which is not good enough. Does anyone know of a similar service I could use but more accurate?

We had similar requests from our clients, there are a number of solutions to this, one of them you might want to look into is www.usertracer.com It is pretty accurate and also tells you region and city within the country the visitors are from. We have 4 accounts with them and had no complaints so far.

k3bab, that's a really neat site... It tracked me down to my exact town! Now I am not gonna beable to sleep until I fugre out how they get more info than ICANN is willing to release on the whois database...

I believe they are using a huge database of IP ranges. Yes they are pretty good for the money really and keeps our customers happy!
