I noticed hotscripts.com and needscripts.com both have similar structure, so I figured they must be using a comercial script?

I know there are many scripts out there that offers these sort of features, but whats unique about hotscripts.com type is that each page/item is on its own HTML page for example (http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Auctions/index.html ) which is more search engine friendly hence better ranking in google and such. whereas similar scripts but display contents pulled from database from a dynamic URL is less search engine friendly for example (and example ONLY)(http://www.hotscripts.com/cat=PHP&id=100).

so... does anybody know where I can get the script/software they are using?

HotScripts
http://www.hotscripts.com
HotScripts is a great example of a specialized directory, listing a wide range of web based applications (and of course they use Links SQL to manage it).
