We have all seen those $39 servers that Aaron @ Wholesale Internet advertises, well I needed a play box, so I decided to try them out.
I was a little concerned going into it, as someone usually would be on this low price of a product. However, I was extremely surprised and pleased with the professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to help (he assisted in setting up my DNS) all before I had paid him a dime for the machine.
Setup took less then 8 hours, machine seems good and stable, and emails are answered quickly and timely.
At this early juncture, I have to give Aaron over there an A+.
I will keep WHT members updated as time moves on.

what's the difference between wholesale internet, kcnetpro, and hostmetro? i got a 39$ server from tony at kcnet pro as a backup to my servermatrix box, and had a good experience as well...

Wholesale Internet own and operate the datacenter and also offer hosting services out of it. kcnetpro has rackspace in the Wholesale Internet DC and hostmetro, I don't know. They're either reselling or also have some rackspace there.
This is AFAIK, but I think it is accurate.

I will clear it up for you. :) Wholesale Internet owns and operates the datacenter, as you stated. KCNetPro is a colocation customer of ours. (Getting to be a very large one, too. :) ) HostMetro actually sub-leases our old datacenter on the 22nd floor but they have thier own bandwidth and we do nothing for them except collect thier rent.

I agree. My box is up and running there as well and we haven't missed a beat yet. And his backup generators work, too! (Always a plus).
Its a relief to finally find a company worth doing business with.
Aaron, you're gonna get a box of Fannie May from me at Christmas time this year... been working your litte ass off for me... thanks.
