What would you put on their website, and why? :D

I wouldn't.....

Regardless of your reasoning, it is illegal and not worth a "what if" scenario IMHO.

I'm with the rest of the other guys here... however much I'd love to put a message there, it just doesn't out weigh the price.

First of all, I wouldn't do it to begin with. Since it's illegal, I wouldn't even like to do a imaginary situation... Next thing you know is, you'll see posts like "What illegal activitiy would you want to do"... like, really, this is lame...

Second of all, I wouldn't post what I'd put there even if I am willing to participate. What if the next day someone did infact hack microsoft.com and post what I wrote here? Who'd the guys in Microsoft go look for? The hacker or myself with the exact quote of what I'm gonna put there? Knowing Microsoft's stupidity about security, I'd say they'd come for me instead of the hacker...

With that being said, I'd hope the Mods lock this topic or something...

I'm sure the OP was just looking to make 'forum' conversation and meant no harm....

Wouldn't do it because it is illegal but if you do then just start saying goodbyes to your friends and family as you prepare yourself for your future in jail.

If I stayed completely anonymous, ie. Nobody could find me out in anyway, at anytime, ever... I would put a redirection to a page with lots of my own (profitable) popups.

LOL.. First i would put something like...

Microsoft have been bought out by LINUX The happy penguin. All microsoft offices will be burnt and Linux will roam the world as the major operating SYSTEM MUAHHAHAAH!!!!

Something like that hehehe... Also Ide like to see what microsoft can do about that. Not like they can touch me. If i went and bought my own island where i make the laws or go somewhere where hacking isnt illegal...then they cant touch me. Infact i dont think they can touch me now...

Microsoft is the biggest peice of **** i ever seen. Especialy after they put the stupid security **** on XP where u can onli register it twice. WHAT THE ****!!! What if u wanna reformat?

Bastards. I use the great penguin now!

Not to go faaaar of topic here but I notice a few people mention Microsoft Stupidty.. well last time I checked, they were one of the largest companies in the U.S.A and as far as security goes, when you get so many people using a program with so many cods of line, you are bound to find security holes.

Let me rephrase my title for those guys.. "What would amuse you most to see on a big website like microsoft.com when it got hacked?"
:D

I would put,
"site down, we are switching to Linux and Apache."

Just like any other thread where Microsoft is mentioned, people have to go off on how stupid Microsoft are and what bad people they are and how lousy their software is. None of it means much other than the fact that they are the biggest and the best.
25 years from now another company will be bigger that Microsoft and people will be saying the same thing about them, and their software will have bugs, and their software will be the target of hacking and virii.
It's just the way it works. Everyone loves to hate the big guy.

Whatever gave you that idea? I've reformatted this computer a few times, and re-activated it just fine. I've also has to re-activate after hardware changes. Re-activation is a matter of clicking a button, waiting a few seconds, and you're done. Hardly a chore for even the shortest attention spanned person.

On Topic:
Poor thread idea.

I'd put up a message saying " Microsoft is loading... please wait... if after 2 minutes you don't see the page refreshed the re-start your PC" (WHT members don't need to re-start their pc as they know the truth now ;) )

On the other side, i'd try to sell it of fast for few millions or billions (should not be so greedy.. :p) and leave the country!

oh.. when would i stop day dreaming? ;)
