hello,

I am considering signing up with dedicatedhosting.com for my
dedicated server needs.

does anyone have feedback good or bad on weather they have good support, service, uptime etc.

I have had a previous bad experience with another company and do not want to repeat it ;(

thanks a lot

David

Not familiar with the co. you mention. If you are interested in running your own hosting co., then I recommend Alabanza :D
Other good sources you might want to check on would be
http://www.ultraspeed.com or http://www.tera-byte.com

Alabanza IMO is the best choice if you are looking to go in to the hosting biz.....We lease our dedicated servers from alabanza----truly happy there!!

Hello Martie,

I did some extensive research to boil my options down to dedicatedhosting.com

they satisfy all my requirements
-hardware
-bandwidth
-ability to upgrade hardware without increase in monthly costs. But I will pay for the hardware and labor of course.
-I tried their support line at 2:20 am and someone picked up.
-reasonable pricing (not dirt cheap but not verio either)

I am now in the final stages of figuring out if there is anyone who has had an experience with them (good or bad)

so far nothing bad (or good either)

thanks

David

Martie, ATM we don't own ultraspeed.com, however he can reach our site via ultraspeedusa.com ultraspeed.net or ultraspeedusa.net :)

No news is good news right?
Ask them if they would mind giving you the name of a current customer that you could contact.

Those are kinda my thoughts ;) But that is nothing even close to a guarantee.

I did ask for references and they did not provide any. BUT the sales rep gave me links to sites they host, and a generic client list. I guess I could simply go to those web sites and ask questions without any real permission.
(It doesn't take brain surgery to figure out the contact information)

Many companies I have talked to refuse to give references. Mostly the larger ones. I guess they think I might try to steal the clients *shrug*

I actually had one company that refused to give any references and provided no money back guarantee *and* I would have had to sign a 3 month contract. So if anything went wrong it would not be pretty for anyone. That was too big a leap of faith for me ... ;(

thanks

David
