View Full Version : Need Your Help Please
RahulS 10-02-2003, 09:11 AM Hi Guys
I have been browsing through the net to find some reliable good hosting and dedicated server providers and the best I have ever seen so far is EV1Servers.Net and Server4You.Com but yesterday when I was browsing through my email I got an email from www.Host35.Com and when I visited their website and checked out the pricing I was literally shocked. I know that www.Server4You.Com offers a 1.3 Celeron for $49/month with $149 setup but www.Host35.Com offers a 1.7 Celeron for $49.95/month and with NO SETUP:confused:
Now you must be wondering WHY I am posting this information here. Well I am planning to go with www.Host35.Com for 3 dedicated servers and I want to make sure that I am getting a good deal which I know for sure because when I click on the Order Now button it says $49.95/month and NO SETUP...but I was wondering if any of you guys have had BAD experience with www.Host35.Com just to keep me heads up since I would like to know because eventually I am planning to get about 10 dedicated servers since I am programmer:cool: Therefore could you please let me know your views on this.
Thank you VERY much for your time and advice in advance:)

Personally, for a company to jump right in with both feet into the market at those prices w/no set ups....I'd be kind of leery to hop on that one right away.
If you do choose to go with them, please come back after being there for some time and share a review. :)

Looks can be very deceiving...
RahulS 10-02-2003, 09:21 AM Thank you for your opinion...I will go with them for sure UNLESS I get a bad review...but will definitely keep you updated on the service if I do decide to go with them.

Rahul,
My advice is to not go with them, research about them more. Just look at the fact that they created (registered) their domain just a month ago on Sept 2, 2003. They have no record to support their reputation. Plus they do appear to be a reseller of TECHNOSYS. That means they are getting even a cheaper deal than what they advertise it....which is very shocking to me as the price must be very low.
How can they afford that. Is there a catch?
Thanks.
Kumar
Q_Max 10-02-2003, 12:11 PM Look what it says at the top...
More than 380,000 domains hosted!
More than 6,500 dedicated servers!
Not only are they new but liars too.

Your darn right they are. This host upstream provider has a responsibilty to thie industry here (IMO) If this domain happened to be hosted on any of our servers, be it dedicated or shared, they would be suspended in lieu of cleaning up their act. They are the biggest problem with the hosting industry today.
RahulS 10-02-2003, 12:53 PM Thank you guys very much for your advice...do you think I should check out one month with them? because to be honest with you all I am not that rich but simply a small programmer and for me their prices are in my budget but the only question is their service.
I guess I will have to wait for some more opinions and then decide.
Thanks again
RahulS 10-02-2003, 01:41 PM Just to let all you guys know who replied on this thread...I will be going with Host35.Com tonight to experiment with one server...I will definitely let you guys know how my experience with them was. If there is anyone else who would like to know my experience with them that is ONLY if I do decide to go with them then please do reply back and I will add you to my buddy list.
Thank you once again for all your time and support and I hope everything goes on fine.;)

I wouldn't go with them for the simple fact that they SPAMED you.
rickkumar 10-02-2003, 03:41 PM There is absolutely no way that I will ever go with a d-grade low-standard host that lies to you in the first place.
Frankly, I don't understand whats up with RahulS?
After so much evidence of lies of this host35.com, he still plans to go with them.
If you are that poor how can you afford 10 servers as you mentioned above or even 3?
I think pay few bucks more a go with someone who has a solid history.
Why will you ever jeopardize your sites or your customers' sites for just a few bucks?
Why r u so adamant to go with them my friend?
Regards,
Kumar
Q_Max 10-02-2003, 04:51 PM Ah, I know where they ripped the "380,000 domains hosted" nonsense. They ripped the flash from Server4You's site and made it out as their own. And they aren't even leasing or colocating servers with them!
5/4 odds that RahulS never gets the service he pays for. He asks for our advice, we point out every red flag that goes off, and he signs up anyway. That is beyond foolish. :(
rickkumar 10-02-2003, 08:48 PM I agree 100%. But after I saw his other response to someone else's post, I am suspicious of him as a promoter of host35. I may be wrong but I have seen enough cases where site owners or employees use various tricks to advertise their site.
Well I myself will never go with an unkkown host at all.
Thanks.
Kumar
centrahost 10-02-2003, 09:35 PM kingpcgeek - Good snag on that email line, I missed that.
Kumar - Welcome to WHT
mainarea 10-02-2003, 09:39 PM Just to let all you guys know who replied on this thread...I will be going with Host35.Com tonight to experiment with one server
Maybe I'm just skeptical, but it looks like YOU are Host35.com, posting here to get publicity. All of your posts so far have been about them, and I don't see any mention or ads about them other than the two posts that you've made. I could be wrong, but this happens every so often, when a new user comes to WHT and makes a post about a new company (or an old one).
Anyway... here's the scoop on the company, from what I can see:
* Host35.com is a Nocster reseller.
* They are making very little money on that server.
* It's impossible for them to actually offer that server, given the fact that Nocster is sold out of them, and has been for some time. Note that it says "Sold Out" on Host35's website.
* Their other servers are not located at Nocster, and are much more than $50/month
* They stole Server4You's facts about "More than 380,000 domains hosted", "More than 6,500 dedicated servers", and "...and what can we do for you"?
* How did they contact you over email, if you hadn't contacted them?
I'd stay away from them...

RahulS 10-02-2003, 10:24 PM Thank you guys for your help and I am going to stay away from them for sure. I did ask them about the Server4You saying about more than 38000 domains hosted and they said that Server4You stole that off a website called One & One UK and that they got the wording from One & One UK. Anyways I will definitely NOT go with them simply because they are a NOCSTER reseller and I CANNOT STAND NOCSTER RESELLERS or NOCSTER simply because of their poor quality of service....by the way I am NOT a Host35.Com promoter :)
Thanks again all for your advice :)
RahulS 10-02-2003, 10:25 PM <<mainarea>> are you a NOCSTER reseller as well because I know of nobody on the net that offers 1000GB bandwidth except for NOCSTER and you and also your package config is similar :S

Dont you think that your comment is too strong. There isnt anything so bad about Nocster. There are nocster resellers that are good too. Mainarea is one of them and has a good reputation on these boards.
A poster saying he cannot stand nocster but still trying to shop for sub 50$ servers , really surprising :)
If you need something decent you may try fastservers.com or servermatrix.com . they are good.
mainarea 10-03-2003, 06:43 PM <<mainarea>> are you a NOCSTER reseller as well because I know of nobody on the net that offers 1000GB bandwidth except for NOCSTER and you and also your package config is similar :S
Yes, we're a Nocster reseller. No, we're not the only ones offering 1000GB bandwidth - RackShack/EV1Servers has 700-1200GB/month on servers, GNAX/DV2 has 1000GB on some servers, and so do a bunch of other hosts. We are expanding into other DCs, and don't fit into the typical stereotype of a Nocster reseller. Anyway, if you're looking for a $50 server, I'd post in the requests forum, some hosts may have a spare box or some low end configurations that they may be able to offer you, just be sure to research the host before going with them. We personally don't sell any servers under $99, but some companies can for ~$50.
