Been trying to register my nameservers via 000domains.com and keep getting the following error:
Unable to create nameserver: Registry error, nameserver creation failed (Attribute value not unique)
Any ideas? Me thinks it has something to do with the ips given to me for the ns1 and ns2

Although I am unfamiliar with 000domains it sounds like you're trying to register nameservers instead of modify DNS information.
Could you tell us better what you're trying to do?
Like; are you trying to have your domain pointed to a new host?
Or; are you trying to be a host and need to register nameservers?
Make sure the nameservers and the IP addresses are properly setup on the server.

My guess, without knowing too much about this particular situation might be, the IPs you are entering were used before (to register nameservers) and are still in the system. Just a guess/possible problem...

Below are some screen captures of the 000domains.com pages with the error.

You're right Chicken!
non-unique attributes only come up if the nameservers are already registered elsewhere.....
doesnt matter if they're live or not, if they're registered elsewhere and the host has tried to re-use the IPs, the original nameservers have to be deleted or their IP's changed before you can register them again....
Cheers,
MilkMan
Did you check if the nameservers are setup correctly on the server?

I sent in an email. Problem is the guy is in Oz and I'm in the US so it might take a while.
Knew something was strange when those ip's brought up someone's current website(s).
Guess I maybe on the lookout for a new host, again

check out http://www.nsiregistry.com
It appears to be registered:
Server Name: NS2.ECOMMERCEDISCOVERY.NET
IP Address: 216.139.227.196
Registrar: IHOLDINGS.COM, INC. D/B/A DOTREGISTRAR.COM
Whois Server: whois.dotregistrar.com
Referral URL: http://www.dotregistrar.com
Server Name: NS1.ECOMMERCEDISCOVERY.NET
IP Address: 216.139.227.195
Registrar: IHOLDINGS.COM, INC. D/B/A DOTREGISTRAR.COM
Whois Server: whois.dotregistrar.com
Referral URL: http://www.dotregistrar.com
ask them to give you a different set of IPs, that should solve your problem.

This error occurs if either the name and/or IP address you're trying to register are already in use.
ie: say ns.domain.com 192.168.0.1 is registered,
if you try to register ns.domain2.com 192.168.0.1 you'll get that error.
Both values have to be unique and can't be in use anywhere, on any registrar.
Hope this helps :D
