I am looking for dedicated server solution for dating sites network.

Secure back-up (and possible clustering as well) preffered.

Please advise which place offers at reasonable prices.

Thanks.

For a dedicated server, how about http://servermatrix.com/ (not used them but they have a good rep) http://ev1servers.net (very happy with them) or http://ezzi.net (quite happy with them).

The first is managed, the later two are not.

For secure backup, have you considered something like rsync over SSH to a VPS?

ServerMatrix is more semi-managed than anything. Their support has not impressed me however, 24+ hours with no response to a simple support request.

rsyncing to another server isn't exactly secure in the fact that the HD could still fail - you'd want to backup to something with Raid5 at the minimum - SAN Storage would of course be better.

Thank you gentlemen for all your responses.

I am newbie and need your help in understanding what is rsync, raid3,raid5 etc.? How do they differ?

And also how can I find a host that offers these services at a reasonable price. Or can I have a server management company set up these things for me?

I know that ****** offers daily backups but I don't like what they offer in their servers. Too high price for not so powerful servers.

On the other hand RS has good servers but offers no advanced hosting solutions such as back-up or clustering etc.

Is it possible to go with someone like rackshack and then have the servers fully managed remotely from another server management company?

Appreciate all the comments.

Thanks again.

Kumar

You can always have a second admin come in and do things no matter if plan is managed or unmanaged.
