I have seen many boards with the same smilies. Such as phpBB, Vbulettin, etc.... and was wondering if those are FREE (open source). Who owns those smilies? I know people can just copy them and use them on boards or website, but is it legal?

Also, do you know of any URL that you know that have FREE (open source) pictures/images for me to use as postcards?

I once came upon a site that have a whole bunch of nice Hello Kitty images, BUT I know for a fact that the webmaster of that site did not make those Hello Kitty images. Can I just use those Hello Kitty images on my site as Ecards?
