Just qurious, does it support SMP?

yes it supports it very well
when I worked for HP we had a test box taht had 32 cpus that was pretty cool
but was not an ordinary system and ran hpux
but I know they do an awesome job at smp with as many as you will need a buddy of mine has some quads running ;)

Linux is capable of well over 32 processors. Some of the IBM MVS main frames and some special application boxes have been known to run over 1024 processors in loosely and tightly coupled clusters.

If you aren't super technical, this just means that Linux scales pretty well if the hardware supports it.

Just make sure you keep it patched. I'd hate to see a 128 processor machine go down because of a sendmail vulnerability. :)
