A friend of mine works for a major internet data center in the US and when I showed him this price list, he doesn't believe me.
Do you really get "400GB" bandwith transferred per month for $399 US ? Or is it just a so called "unlimited" bandwith scheme ?
I really like to hear from anyone who has server(s) colocated with them and is it really true that you get that much bandwith for a really out of this world price. What are the restrictions or details ?
Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
I, myself, would like to colocate there then if it sounds really good.

Aloha

yes you get what you get not trickery
most people will not eat up that much
think of them as the buffet line for bandwith you can only eat so much but that once ina a while guy who can eat 20 helpings takes em down but it is still worth it.

also they are a tier3 so they are not quite as redundant as some shouldnt matter to much but may or may not

also they are not offering managed boxes so there HR dept is very light

good deal for most not for others who only do a bit of bandwith.

I'm wanting to use them, but the problem is their pricing is very unfavorable to any complex systems.

For example, a high-end installation may have 3 servers act as one:

System 1 - firewall (just filters info out of System 2)
System 2 - web server, this is the one that actually uses bandwidth
System 3 - database server - does not consume bandwidth, only talks to System 2.

With their pricing, this would cost $600/month -- even though it is really just a single (web) server.

If they offered $50/month for 1u rack space with 1GB then I could have the same setup for $300 ($200 + $50 + 50).

Do efreeservers web resellers have more flexibility in this regard?
