Hello everyone!
First time here on WHT - heard great things about people here. I am just beginning to get into becoming a reseller for webhosting. I just want about 1 gb of hd space and maybe 20gb of monthly bandwidth. Uptime and service is top things Im looking for but would also like a provider who is affordable if I go with a month to month option. Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks.

Dathorns plans are a little over what you wanted, but cheap and reliable nonetheless. They have fast support, good uptime, and plans starting from $13.50 with logical upgrade options.

I'll toss in a quick nod to FastEZHosting....Granted, I've only been with them for a few days but I was impressed with the response time and communication when I inquired and then opened the account. A++ service right off the bat, hopefully it stays that way.

Even the responses to my "stupid" questions were quick and courteous.

Consider VSHosting.net, Eurofficial.com, Excelwebhosting.com; maybe also Cybrisk.com, P4Host.com, Thrillhost.com, KMHost.com, ONEfusion.com, and PotentProducts.com. If the ability to oversell your transfer quota is important to you, make sure you consider that when looking at the prices for these hosts; the first three allow overselling, but many of the rest don't. I'm pretty sure all of these hosts offer CPanel/WHM reseller accounts; they may have other options too, but that's what I was looking for when I did my research. One more thing -- make sure you search WHT for references to these hosts before signing up. You'll see if they have experienced a lot of problems recently, and you may find offers for deals that are better than the ones on their web sites. Good luck!

You should also figure out which control panel you would like to be working with as there are several options available. You can try a demo at the following urls to see which one you are most comfortable with.

CPanel - www.cpanel.net
Ensim - www.ensim.com
Plesk - www.plesk.com

Those are the 'big three' so to speak and is what is available the most though there are other options out there.

If you are looking for opinions of famous debates on differences between them there are quite a few good threads regarding thing.

I am with www.webnethosting.net and have been with them for 7 months now, they have a great reseller program starting at $39.95 a month, with dedicated features for each domain at $7.95 a domain.

Welcome! You will probably spend the next 3 or 4 months bumping into walls and pulling out your hair. Be sure you can get someone on the phone 24 hours a day is all I have to say!
