We're looking for a colo at 60 Hudson St, NYC. Preferrably on the 12th floor.

I already know about ftgx.com and telx.com. Anyone know of other options?

if you are required to be on the 12th floor, why not just colo with the people that are requiring you to be there. X-Connects in that building are insanely high priced; you'd be better off just going with whomever is on 12.

btw Evan, TelX is on 9 and 23.

I recommend colocentral on the 13th floor. They have excellent prices and massive amounts of bandwidth!

The 13th floor is XO's Floor in telex, and Fibersnet is correct they have a ton of space as well as capacity for bandwidth. Look at my post and contact Jason. Let him know that I sent you, he really did a great job with my account.

One of the problems I've run into with telco hotels like 60 Hud or 111 8th (or various other buildings like it) is that the cost of colo space per rack or square foot is disproportionately high compared to going with a building that has lower rental fees for colo and linking it together with private line or Ethernet transport back to the end location you are trying to get to.

A couple other sites you may want to look at are 25 Broadway, 65 Broadway, 33 Whitehall, and 75 Broad Street. You could even look at some colo providers in Staten Island, Brooklyn, Newark, and Jersey City. The key is making sure that there are a good variety of access provider’s facilities available through your colo provider within the site. AND that the colo provider isn't charging exorbitant fees for cross connecting within their site to access those transport carrier’s facilities. Sometimes they'll refer to the charge as a CFA Utilization fee (Circuit Facility Assignment).

In terms of a good combination that I have heard of... Peer1 over in 75 Broad Street seems to have decent pricing and good transport facilities available. But I wouldn’t ignore the outer burrows. A lot of times those colo spaces will have their own backbones back into the meet-me-rooms of places in the city that are a lot less expensive than doing it on your own.
