Hello,

Can someone recommend a good host for me. My site is Eclipsemagazine.com (http://www.eclipsemagazine.com) It loads very slowly and I'm positive it's the hostprovider's servers because I tested it on a different server and it is so much faster.

I would like someone who would come close to matching my current deal which is $50 a month. If you can please take a look at my site and then email me privately. It is currently running off of Myphpnuke.

Here's what I need

Unix

1 Gig of Space (Min)

Unlimited Bandwidth

Control Panel

Mysql with full access and the ability to create DBs as well
and PHPmyadmin, or other Web based Mysql control panel

Perl

PHP

CGI Access

ASP Support (not important now, but will be nice to have.

Good Phone and Email support 24/7 instant Email support (as I do a lot of my site stuff at around 4 am EST, I want someone there that can answer my question if there's a problem)

Quick account setup (less than a few hours)

No Setup Fee and 30-day moneyback guarantee

Online bill pay with month to month option.

Or better still, a dedicated Unix server for under $100.

Thanks

Once again, we see the common error.

Unlimited Bandwidth...................

more for less money = trouble

The general consensus is you should be wary of any host offering "unlimited" bandwidth.

I'd say more, but there's a gag order :)

I agree! We all learn from experience, but "unlimited" should be avoided...loose the experience -- it's NOT worth it.

How much bandwidth are you using now?

I can't help on the hosting, but see what you mean about the loadtime. It took about a minute with my 56K.

That page is pretty heavy, maybe 300K and very long, about 25 screens! Maybe you could break some of that up into more pages.

I have DSL line, and I don't have problem loading Eclipsemagazine.

Your pages load pretty fast for me on cable.

As for bandwidth, unlimited isn't idealistic,

I presume you're using less then 8 GB since this is the highest available bandwidth published on your host's site.

If you're seeking an offer/quotation, try posting it at the request forum, sure you'll recieve numberous replies.

Btw, welcome to WHT, enjoy!

I see the TABOO word again :)
may be WHT should add unlimited to their collection of filtered words :)

For $50 I suggest F5hosting.com or Futurequest.com
