Would you consider it wise to sell Php, ASP, MySQL packages altough i have no idea how to use these things, let alone support my customers ?

Are these stable applications, or will i get myself into trouble ?

Right now i sell a very simple cheap solution with only perl supported.

Would a Raq3 with these added features run stable ?

Please add your 2cnts :)

PHP and MySQL are two _very_ stable products.

You would probably run into problems if your customers ask questions about PHP or MySQL -- bu you can ofcourse do a "PHP help is not supported" policy.

I've got a RaQ3 at 4WS, and it's running PHP and MySQL with about a dozen scripts and databases.

Simply put: nothing's gone wrong ever (not including programming errors)

ASP I don't know about...

When I had my old RaQ3i, I ran mySQL and PHP on my server with no problems. Had a huge database with tons of scripts. ASP is a different story now. The RaQ3 isn't designed for ASP. It can run on the RaQ3 and is stable, but it will eat nearly all of your CPU and memory.

I agree. PHP and MySQL run fine on a RaQ, as they do not take up a generous amount of system resources. ASP, on the other hand, does.

correct me if I am wrong but isnt ASP is best to be used on a win server?

Php, mysql should be fine on raq 3 and they are standard programs on a raq4

Were referring to ChiliSoft ASP, a special ASP designed to operate on the RaQ. It's made by SunCobalt for the RaQ, but it can be used on any OS. ChiliSoft ASP is similar to Microsoft ASP except for that it can run on any platform of PC, not just Windows.

Note: Chilisoft ASP does not contain ALL of the functions of NT ASP.
