I'm thinking of starting up a small websight, I recieved a few replys from my first post over icq. Palmversa looks like a good host, did a search, read some good comments about them. Say I sign up with a plan for them. I want to make my sight's name, say, strahd46.com (with what ever else is part of the url). Do I have to pay extra for that? after I sign up, what else will I be paying for...

Strahd46,
I don't know how Palmversa works, but generally:
You pay your domain (in your example strahd46.com) seperately, either through your hosting company or an independent register. You can register domains anywhere from an average of $8/year - $30/year.
Now, once you have a domain registered you find a place to host it-which is generally a monthly fee.
Good luck on your search, and if you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them.

Someone's gotta say it...
It's "site," not "sight."
There, I feel better.
Like he said, you pay a registrar a yearly fee for your domain name.
You pay a hosting company a monthly fee to host that name.
You use a form on the registrar's website to point your domain to the hosting company.
For a registrar, don't use Network Solutions! They cost a LOT more and are very difficult to work with. I know I'm not alone in that opinion/experience.
There's nothing else to pay for, except internet access -- looks like you've got that covered already.
