Hello, I am a victim of the instabill shutdown and I am currently looking for other solutions. I have come accross the harbor-net.com site and found the price to be very reasonable, but was hoping I would get better feedback here from users of their service. On their website they claim

Internet virtual transactions with address verifications 2.25%
Transaction Fee 20¢
Monthly Service Fee $10.00

I was specifically wondering if they have any other "hidden fees", such as gateway fees, statement fees, etc. or is that all covered in the $10 month service fee. Also how does their service compare to other comparable services?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

A while ago, we tried to get a merchant account through them using cybercash as a gateway. They never did manage to get our account setup correctly, and they were not very responsive at all... Emails would never be answered in under 24 hours, if they were answered at all, and it was very hard to get someone on the phone. Personally, I wouldn't recommend them because of our experience with them.

Hello,

We used harbor-net.com to get our merchant account setup. Harbor-net.com just sets up everything (acts as a middleman). Innuity.com provides the online control panel (including recurring billing, transaction info, etc.) and Humboldt Bank is the merchant bank. Here are the various fees involved: AVS, card fees. batch header, and the statement fee. I also believe Innuity charges for their service after the first 6 months of joining through Harbor-net.com. Whatever you do, don't join the recurring billing through harbor-net as it comes with Innuity's control panel for no extra cost. I guess the service is quite good; although, I was a little confused when Innuity and Humboldt Bank came into play and harbor-net.com left the scene. A little more communication would have been helpful. Also, I don't have experience with other services so I can't really compare.

Good luck.
