I have just has one seriously BAD experience with Invite Internet. Their server migration was a complete disaster! I've ben waiting for over a week (12 days to be exact) for them to figure out where my database went. They are idiots, and I'm sick of this. My cleint is angry as all you know what. Invite never answers their phone and they haven't responded to e-mail either.

Anyway, I need a new host--NOW! I'm really overwhelmed by the sheer number of hosts out there! Here's what my client needs, these are my clients' req's not mine:

- at least 30 MB of space, preferably 50MB. More would be better, but not required at this point.
- 2-3 GB transfer (optimal, less is okay)
- at LEAST 5 POP e-mail accounts
- at least 1 mailing list (more preferred)
- e-mail forwarding (including a "catch-all" account & aliases)
- FTP access (anon FTP would be good, too, but not necesarry)
- PHP 3/4 support
- MySQL database
- streaming audio support (preferred) or allow mp3 files (minimum) [my client is an acoustic rock band]
- simple merhcant capabilties, EASY to set up, for selling a single product (this could be optional if a plan offers everything else...I'm willing to work around it if totally necesarry)
- access to site stats
- no setup fee
- plan under $15/month (other periodic pmts are okay as long as the average is under $15/month)
- (this is MY requirement) GREAT reputation for tech support, prefer 24/7 staffed at the PHONE, not just e-mail. Live chat support is also good but not required. For me, not responding to an issue after 1-2 business days is not acceptable. I'm very patient as long as I know what's going on and can make regular updates to the client. Open communication (not just form messages) are important to me.
- (also my requirement) Host is well-established (at least a year in business, prefer more) and doesn't have a rep for ripping people off.

Thanks...I know that these requirements will eliminate a lot of the hosts out there. I'm sorry about that, I know of several reputable hosts who just can't/won't offer a package with these requirements, and that's okay. Like I said, these are pretty much my client's requirements, not mine. If you kow of a host that offers these things, or will create a package based on these, could you let me know? I'm more interested in hearing from customers and their experiences with such hosts. Think of where I'm coming from right now...I'm one angry lady right now because of the way we've been treated so I'm going to be very cautious. At this point, I don't know who I can trust, I need a solid, reputable company. Of course, if you are a host and you're reading this and you have a plan that would fit, I don't mind a private message. I need this new host quickly...but I need to be careful, too.

Also, if there is a host that DOES meet these qualifications but aht you would NOT recommend, that I want to know that, too.

Thanks!

I have a few suggestions that you may want to look at:

AletiaHosting.com:
For $9.95 you get 200 MB, 10GB, and everything else you wanted. They are a reputable host and just about everyone I know who Hosts with them has had no problems, in fact many of them rave about Aletia's quality support.

JaguarPC:
For $9.95 you get 50MB, 6GB and all the other stuff you wanted. I've also heard good things from their customers.

If you are unimpressed with these two selections I can spend some more time and give you a more in-depth listing.

As always, if you need any more help, drop me a line and I will be more than happy to put my resources at your disposal.

Jimmy
