I've seen a lot of hosts offer Miva Merchant to their customers for FREE!!! I then goto miva.com and it costs something like $300 to purchase a single license. :confused:

Hi:

You need to become a reseller for Miva. It's not cheap, nor terribly expensive. You basically purchase X amount of dollars of licenses up front. By becoming a partner, you can give away the "free" limited version, which hasn't as many bells and whistles, along with the fact that you can only host 10-12 items in your store.

The idea is to hook 'em with a freebie, and upgrade them to the full scale version. Both Miva and OpenMarket do this. I looked into it, but it didn't suit my needs at the time. Hope that helps.

If you want universal since you are a pegasus client you can buy your miva licences threw us, at a deeply discounted rate. But you still have to buy the engine for $500.
