I was considering purchasing a Raq from them, so thought I'd test their support first. I found them to be rude and uncooperative. Think about it, support people have more than enough to deal with - surely there are better ways to "test" the level of support? I signed up with them some 2-3 months ago, and did not experience a single problem to date. They are also getting better by the day. At the end of the day, the choice remains yours ... Perhaps I should now  As a matter of fact, all I did was watch their live chat room for a half an hour. After that; I would not even consider them an option. I actually felt sorry for the people they belittled. There are much better ways to handle support issues. And the way they always seemed to enjoy putting down WHT all seemed a little too contrived to me  afriq 08-21-2001, 12:44 PM After that; I would not even consider them an option. Crabby 08-21-2001, 02:13 PM I have used the R/S support chat three times for support issues. I found the responses to be efficient and courteous. Realize, please, that typed responses in a chat environment are curt.;) I was interested in answers to my questions and I received those answers. C'ya, - Crabby wienerdog 08-21-2001, 06:58 PM With rackshack you should always use the trouble-ticket system in your member log-on area. There's no way for a non-member to test that. It's the only way I've gotten consitent results. Also NEVER reply to the person who is helping you. ALWAYS go back to the trouble ticket area, paste the email as reference and reply back that way. I find they tend to ignore personal replies but always handle trouble-tickets. Plus, this keeps a record of your problems and they write a note on it's resolution. Works well for me. I couldn't expect more from a $99/m high-volume host. I'm satisfied, the deal is outrageously good and you've got to expect trade-offs in support. I was considering co-locating a raq for pricing reasons before I found them. With co-lo there'd be NO support! -dale |
