Heh, that's where it *was*, people didn't like how it was done so it was moved... if it were incorporated, then it might have worked better. 'Twas just stuck up there before...

Just keep moving it up and down so everyone is happy. :D

We'll compromise and just cover up most of the control buttons.

I guess it doesn't even bother me, I didn't even notice the banners.

If it was in the top bar and right aligned (not centred like before), it would probably be better. But hey, keep moving it around and it will be noticed by more people!

How about a DHTML script that makes it float to random positions on the screen? :D

not sure if you have ever seen this DHTML (errrr... stupid image tricks?), but if you go here: http://www.woobster.com/main_right.html you can move the image of me in the chicken suit to where ever you want. Clcick and hold button down while dragging. I think I got it at dynamicdrive (though it isn't a link, and I don't think it can be a link, not sure). Yeah, I know, somewhat pointless, I realize that now. Made the page a long time ago...

Would that help? :D

Brilliant idea. Now all it needs is a JavaScript cookie handler to save the position where you last dropped it. That way, users could place it exactly where they wanted it, and keep it there! :)

Actually, it might work with a link. All the code has is a particular DHTML script, then:

<IMG SRC="images/chicken.jpg" WIDTH="173" HEIGHT="230" ALT="Ever seen a grown man chicken?" class="drag">

(class="drag" seeming to be the operative bit)

Maybe this would work:

<div class="drag">
<a href="thelink.html">
<img src="theimage.gif">
</a>
</div>

I just don't have time to try it right now...

But alas, I feel the user base wouldn't take advantage of such an incredible design feat :D

Glad I'm not advertising on here if people don't notice the banners.
