i am looking for a cart system just like the ones used on http://www.dynamictutorials.com or even http://inverseflow.com/orderProduct.php?productID=8189-3 they are great systems
i dont want a full shop system for my site i use want a cart, add to basket and collect basic information and pay via paypal and 2checkout can anyone help with suggestions on where to start

I second Oscomerce. Our clients have had great success with it. The ecommerce forum seems to deal with oscommerce solely and we get people signing up just to ask for help on it. So much discussion on it that some searched on google end up at our forum - interesting.

Oscomerce is no good i dont want a system like that i just want the buy now and checkout system

You can use the contribution "purchase without account" and you get the same effect. I would recommend taking that approach because it will allow you to rapidly deploy your site without spending alot of money and time.
