You can you check the speed of your processor? How do you know if you have a 600MHZ, 700MHZ, or 1000MHZ machine?

well if you are on a win2k box,

Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, It should be right there.

If you're on a unix system, you can check it by looking in the server boot message file, located somewhere similar to /var/log and the file is called "messages".
