Hi,
I have been using RAQ2's and 3's for a while now and whilst they have served me well I have been tempted into trying out a Cpanel3 server.

I would like some unbiassed opinions on the reliability of both Cpanel3 and Burst.net themselves. And as I speak their network seems to be off the air.. Not good so far..

So far the server and their network appears to be quite slow, and the WHM, whilst is has alot of features, seems to be sadly lacking in documentation and rates low in the user friendliness stakes compared with the RAQ3. But as I say I would like to hear others experiences. Thanks for your time.

I thought Plesk didn't have automated user signup with credit card validation, and CPanel did? That's a pretty big difference, unless I'm wrong.

They ARE going to release a billing system for PSA 2.0 later on.

Cpanel doesn't have that yet either. Further, that's just an interface that will set up the accounts to work with the control panel in question -- assuming it needs anything specific to it and not just the regular, normal set up, and that's a pretty easy thing to do.

There must have been outage between you and Burst because at the time of your post my Burst server was up and operational.

And if you think Burst's network is slow you must have a very poor internet connection. The #1 compliment of my customers is the ease of use of cpanel and #2 is the performance of the network.

Hi rastoma,

thanks for your comments. Just to clarify I am a cable connection, so it isn't slow and Burstnet themselves acknowledged that there was a problem with their network at the time. That in itself doesn't worry me.

After testing the cpanel for a week I won't be using it.

So far it has been very buggy, with problems arising with alot of different user and management functions. Cpanel documentation is sadly lacking and judging by posts on this board their support isn't what it should be either.

Once again thanks for your input.
