Can anyone tell me about MySiteSpace? They seem to offer remarkable value, except I've never heard of them.
How big are they? Is their support (live chat) really 24x7? Reliability?
They seem to have an arm somewhere offering free hosting.... does this have any sort of negative knock-on effect? Anyone have any reason why I shouldn't have a few sites there?

Well I got my answer..... I opened an account with them on Friday.
So far, they have managed 2 days uptime, and 3 days downtime. It's not just me they are picking on - looks like a number of their servers judging from the tirade of abuse on their own forums.
Support? I raised a ticket 36 hours ago and am still waiting.
I'm outta there. They are one to avoid like the plague.

I, along with an untold number of other mysitespace.com customers went through at least 5 DAYS (& counting for some customers according to forum posts) of down time reportedly due to a Denial of Service attack on their servers. During this time, they shut down their "Live Chat" support, posted repeated Status Updates that indicated that either the problem was fixed or would be fixed "soon", and were almost completely non-responsive to tech support emails (according to member posts and my own experience). As bad as all of that was, those of us that complained have been stonewalled, had our posts censored in the forum, and now I find that I am locked out of the forum as well as my site (ALL WITHOUT ANY NOTICE!). My emails to their "Sales" department describing the problems they were inflicting on their customers and asking for SOMEONE to tell us what was going on received a blatantly insulting response and said to send them a list of my sites and they would be glad to process a refund (although I had not requested one). The next thing I know (an hour or so later), I find they locked me out of the forum and then they locked me out of my site. Their: a) seeming lack of any kind of effective damage control (both operationally and from a customer relations perspective), b) incredible arrogance and c) an attitude that takes their customers for granted lead me to recommend avoiding mysitespace.com for your web hosting needs.
