Hello,
Seeing as myown888 is out or something. Can anyone suggest low priced plans that dont force you to combine with your existing phone plan.
Myown888 seemed like the perfect solution, but seems I was a month to late.

What do you mean a month late?
Call Worldcom or Broadwing -- they both have good rates.

myown888.com is great. its only a 5 bucks a month if you don't have like a 25 buck bill or something. i think they only wave the 5 buck minimum if you signup for their long distance.

www.Ureach.com is another one to look at.

I'd still look into http://www.powernetglobal.com although just today the evil MCI convinced me to switch from them. We'll see... I may be back there soon. They are LD, but very reasonable and offer 8xx as well.

The setup may take a little while. But its worth it. The support is actually really great. I sent in a request to have the number where my 877 number rings monday evening. Got a response back from customer service tuesday morning. And I was under the understanding that it would take 24-48 hours to change over, but its now tuesday evening and its working! :)
I'm impressed!

myown888 created our toll free # in about 2 weeks. About one week after that, they disabled it and didn't say anything to us about it. We asked them and they said too many people were signing up with fake info, so you are required to switch to their services, and the other options listed above. Still haven't decided if I will go with them. They don't seem very responsible.

Note: I am an agent of Power Net Global.
I got my first number in about a week. I have not tried to get additional numbers yet, but I will.
The ring-to destination I have been told can be changed in about 20 mins. My first number rings to my cellphone(which is nice).
(Mods: If this is bad, please let me know.)
