Well I was putting up with things on 2c. DDOS's can happen and I understand that. Anyway things started to return to normal and got a couple of orders through. Hooray I thought then I went to check the IP address.

Now I've learnt (as I expect other have) how to see if the IP address is a open-proxy which some of the more intelligent fraudsters do. So this is a very high indicator of fraud even if the country of the IP and billing address match up.

So it was strange to see the IP address wasn't on the email. No biggy though I so logged into the web interface. No IPs on new orders and No IP's on old orders. All the data has been removed.

Now the pessimist in side me thinks what has happened is that someone got a fraudlent order, saw the IP and DDOS'ed. Then someone on the receving end didn't like that and DDOS'ed 2c back (even though it was the wrong target)

Of course this could just be my wild imagination

Oh well

Well expierence says that if you check the IP address against Arin that if its allocated to a small network (say 192.168.0.0-192.168.0.32) chances are it is opne. I double check it at www.openrbl.org as well

2co probably removed your access to the verification info for some reason, they only give it to trusted merchants.

I have been getting them on all recent orders.
