View Full Version : Full Wrapped Bus Adversiting
UNIXIELHOST 08-17-2001, 07:24 PM I just a neat idea for all web hosting companies and anyone that would do a new adversiting services.
In upcoming months, 40 Foot Gillig Transit Vechile that will have a full wrapped adversiting with interesting bidders to purchase ad space on the bus outside, they will have selection of which place, size, cost, etc.
Would any Web Hosting Companies will be interesed in this? The catch is, I and few friends who I work with will be travelling all over the USA and the company will cover all my travel cost and exchange I sell their products.
I am getting a bus soon, should take 1-3 months, but I could start this idea? So that way when I am on the road, millions people will see your ad and it will be seen 24 hours, 7 days a week, anytime, anywhere, anyplace.
Just a neat idea, how's that?

SoftWareRevue 08-17-2001, 09:50 PM Well. I've heard the web described as the information highway before........................But I don't think a bus is gonna fit:D
someone will like this idea ;)
davidb 08-17-2001, 09:55 PM I think there was a company that would pay you to put a ad on your car for a month. It was like over the whole car. As to efficentcy, for me personal, I always read that stuff, like when people advertise on their back windshield, but I never remember it.
IntraHost 08-18-2001, 12:02 AM How much would it cost? And do you have a route of where you'll be traveling?
Hey,
Thats awsome, one thing of thought, maybe you could divide up your bus so that not one company would advertise. Maybe you could charge like $1,000 per company, and have 5 companies total?
Just a thought,
Jim
I think that is what he meant by "they will have selection of which place, size, cost, etc." That's a good idea though.
I have a feeling it will cost more than $1000 per advertiser, depending on the costs involved with producing the ads, and the number of spaces he will have open.
UNIXIELHOST 08-23-2001, 02:37 AM Actually, the space available will be 5 on each side and 5 on other site. Yes, you are right Eric, the price is more than $1,000 a month becuase it will be on the bus for a MONTH and there will be a million views to that ad and the setup fee is not cheap, the lowest I can find is $3000 so to startup is not cheap.
Exmaple: If you want a space, pay $1,500 a month for 6 months plus $3000 setup fee and you MUST provide your artwork and send them to us and we send to the agency does all the wrapping design work and put them on the bus.
So go on ...... That how it works here, usually it takes 2-4 weeks to get it all done. This project wont start in 2002, it will take me 6 months to get all paperwork done before I can start this project. Not a fun job but something new, interesting :)
Also, keep on mind, a new 40 Gillig Bus cost itself range from $200,000 to $350,000 .... So I am working with private investors to build this new project....
If everything planned, I hope start in Spring 2002 and last for at least 6-7 months and re-run again in 2004.
This sounds fun for me :)
