Hmm. I'm guessing this is the right forum for this thread...
I recently installed a VB forum on my site.
As admin, I would like to be emailed whenever someone creates a new thread. In my VB Admin Panel, I went to ForumManager>ModerationOptions and I put in my email address where it says "Email Addresses to Notify When there is a New Thread". Yet when a new thread is created, I do not receive an email. When I eventually see the new thread and reply to it, then I receive email notification of new posts, so that's OK. But still no email for new threads.
I even tried going into my forum and clicking to subscribe to a specific forum. However, the drop down menu that follows confuses me. The options are:
No email notification
Daily updates by email
Weekly updates by email
Umm, No email notification? Shouldn't that read Instant email notification or something to that effect?
I would appreciate some advise on this. BTW, I'm using 3.0.0 Beta 5. I posted in the VB forum, but nobody knew how to solve the problem. :(
