I have a domain name and I would like to host my site on my computer. I use XP and DSL connection. What do I need or can anyone give me a link which tells me how.

Unless you have a static IP address it will be a pain to try to host your site off your own computer, not to mention the downtime that you will likely see when you have computer problems or reboot and so on. So here is my suggestion:

Check with your ISP if you are allowed to run a server behind their network and if they do provide Static IP address. If not, it is going to be very difficult to do so.

It's really not that difficult at all. If you are just using it for a hobby site or family site it would be fine. Just don't use if for mission critical stuff.

If your IP is dynamic and not static you can use the free service at http://www.zonedit.com.
You do need to check with your ISP to see if they allow you to run a server.
