i have one domain of my client for which we updated name server 30 days before. although it shows correctly in nsi whois but it is not reflecting on internet. i have emailed NSI 5 times from last 10 days but no response. finally me and my client are planning to change registrar.

i read it but they are right. they have to do it until they find any solutions for it.
Aloha
ya think they could do a flip around where it will wait say 45 days to get the original owner chance to recover adn then say wait 45 days more after that and it will automatically flip into open status

but what if you want to move domain from NSI and they freeze the domain and don't let it move from one registrar to another.
ok now you will tell me you should move domain 1 month before. i have clients who just try to transfer registrar before 7 days from expirty date. actually i put such domain on opensrs transfer and NSI refuse it by error (pending for registry approval) and domain got freeze and now client have to renew that domain FROM NSI IN $35 per year.
this is really bad.

this sucks as well
I hate this
I had to pay for 5 domains because fo this
anydate should be allowed to be transfered to another
even if it is coming frmo another registrar it should be transfered within the 45 day grace periond.
at least this is my thoughts or what I would make them do ;)

What might work would be to drop expired domains "the" day they expire throughout the day instead of "batch" drops; maybe this would reduce some of the mass feeding every morning at 6:30 e.t.

I am missing something here.
The press release I read says that they are temporarily suspending the current process of releasing expired domains until they can come up with a better way of dealing with the feeding frenzy that occurs as domain speculators rush in to snap up good names.
What sucks is the abusive and unfair business practices that some registrars engage in to gain competitive advantage, yet no one seems to have any harsh words for them.

yeah for sure the places that have puters and people working non stop to get good names
maybe if they spread them out it might help yes this is a bad thikng that is happening but also it hurts those who are wanting certain names
they will still snap them up no matter what
how do they stop those people
hmmm not sure ya can but release names within so many days does nto matter those snapping good names will be doing it automatically somehow unless they can come up with a way you cna not do it auto but have to type in hmmm not sure
