Looks like the same guy Gabby Murphy who bought hotscripts/webhostingtalk has now also bought ispcheck.com - he must have money burning a hole in his pocket!

Hello All:

Actually, we just acquired a couple of other properties:

OC-Forums.com - a large computer hardware discussion community with 33K members and over 1.7 million posts.

DeletedDomains.com - a leading on-hold and expired domain search portal.

Thanks Lonny:

We are also pretty excited about deleteddomains.com, as we feel it is a very niche service which offers a really valuable service to those that know about the site. So we plan to heavily promote it!

Sad to see the consolidation of the industry news, but it was bound to happen. Pretty soon, there will be one big mega corporation that manages every source of news and information about the webhosting community. But thats just the beginning.

EV1Servers aka RackShack aka WHT aka... obviosuly does have alot of money. They had a sports stadium named after them for crying out loud. They never said how much they spent on that, but it had to be in the millions - naming rights to satdiums are not something sold at your local dollar store.

And it looks like they are gobbling up every major source of industry news they can get thier hands on. That way no one is left to crticise them except for the small, independant news sources, and no one trusts them because they are - small and independant.

The next thing you know they'll be announcing that they have aquired Host-Way, CI-Host and Verio too. Then we'll hear that they bought out thier upstream providers, too. Then they could work on taking over Verisign too.

Pretty soon, the internet itself belongs to a mega corporation.

Someone PMd me and said I should watch what I say about Rack Shack otherwise I'll sign in one day and find my account suspended.

Maybe I should listen to them, shut up and be a good little WHT user. :)
