Hi guys

I have a quick question. Ok. Let's say I have a domain registerd with company ABC. THey charge $35 for a domain. So august 2000, I bought mydomain.com from company ABC for $35. Now, 2001, august is here, and my domain expires very soon, at tthe end of the month. I am do not want someone to register my domain when it expires, I also DO NOT want to pay $35 again for renewal. I know a place, www.gkg.net $10 for a domain, I have one domain already there............ that ig ot recently

I am wondernig, what do i do? Can I just transfer my domain right now, to gkg.net? IF i transfer, what does that mean.. Does that mean my domain is just transfered to gkg.net and i have an account and i dont pay a penny? And then when my domain expires I can renew it from gkg.net? OR does that mean, that i have to purchase oNE year from gkg.net then transfer? So when I transfer it'll be one year plus the days remaining till my domain expires from the ABC company ($35 one)? ---

I hope i havent confused anyone. I just want to know If i should

1. Transfer my domain now to gkg.net, but if i transfer, will i have to
a) pay them for a year
b) Or, will it just transfer and i'll have an account on there like for free till it expires?
c) Or, do i hav eto pay $10 to gkg.net to transfer it, and then when it expires at the end of the month, renew it by paying another $10 to gkg.net?? OR does it not work that way?

Can someone please help me clear up all this cluttered mess in my mind.. :(

thanks

When you transfer your domain to another registrar, you'll pay for the new year and the remainder of your original registration will transfer over. Whould I do it now? Yes, why wait ;)
