Well I took the plunge and got Modernbill installed today. After spending a few hours in the Admin section I think this software is on the extreme side of feature provisions. Not saying that is good or bad at this point just that there is a lot to it.
For those that are using Modernbill, I am wondering how many of these features do you actually use?
I was also wondering how creative you can get with the customizations. If you have a customized interface would you be willing to share a screenshot or URL of it?
Thanks!

We actually only use a few of the modules now, but like the fact the others are there if we decided to expand control panels, etc.
A huge plus for us is the fact we can change CC processors and it is seamless to customers. No readding CC's etc etc.
Using a 3rd party now and plan on going Auth.net soon, this is major bonus :)
You can also remove the modules you do not use, from showing up on the admin panel system config area.
These can always be re-added by using the module-loader.PHP, which is also how you disable it.
Customizing it, as far as, order form, Email templates are fully customizable. You can even customize the main look of client and admin Panels. However do any of these takes a good amount of skill in PHP. :O
Customizing the order form is quite easy, as far as fitting it into your site. You can look at ours here (http://secure.tekadvantage.com/order),
we are still working on ours and are now trying to configure our own actual order form via the API.
The order form is biggest drawback w 8 or 9 pages :(
I lose about 30% of sign-ups a week due to the length of it!
Using the API, the best one I seen was 2 page sign-up form :D
If you need any help learning, hit me up, I helped about 15 people so far get setup and understand how to use it ;)

Yeah, I just plunged into it myself, It took me weeks to make my decision, and I am glad I made the one I did.
Esr, I do have a question, is there any way you can get around using that aweful vortex signup form. I really think its ugly.

Yep, you need to use the API to create your own version.
You can look around at the 'Showcase' area in MB forums, and see just how nice you can actually get it.
Unfortunately I am not very well versed w/ this yet and have only just started w creating my own Order form. :(
My dream one will be like one in the 'showcase' that uses radio buttons and instead of a new page (what would normally go to a 2nd, 3rd and so on page) actually just pops up on that same page.. (let me find link, this guys is just awesome!!)
Here are a few really customized order forms (so you can see what is possible):
http://www.oeck.net/register.php
https://www.checkurl.info/order/
Of course I can not find the one w the most integration I ever seen :(
wow i REALLY like the checkurl one....
any idea how to do this?
i have modernbill set up now, but its just the demo
im going to delete it and have it profesionally installed and set up i think
but i REALLY like that simple order form!!

Both of those are nice setups!
As long as it can be done, I'm sure I'll figure out how sooner or later...;)
Thanks Esr Tek

Are you kidding - changing 3rd party to Auth.net without readding cc numbers?
Are you keeping CC data when using 3rd party?

Yeah I am confused too.
Maybe we are missing some important piece of information, here?
