Yee-ouch. Another dissatisfied Burst customer.
In answer to your question, the bandwidth you require may be the problem - most will offer 4-8 GIGs, but not 10. That said, I can think of the following hosts :
1. Below $10 Host @ http://www.below10host.com - and look at the biggest plans (the Special plans). The 500mb plan will probably be too much space for you, but it has the 10 GIG requirement.
2. Tera-byte @ http://www.tera-byte.com
Others might be able to recommend hosts with your requirements.
Good luck!
TheComputerGuy 09-09-2000, 07:52 AM I would say go with http://www.cfoxhost.com He has most of your needs, except maybe his transfer, but he has good reseller packages also. He offers some of the best support, he also has human click, and is on a lot of the time.

*cough**hack*Advertising forum?*hack**cough*
enough said BC, I just thought I would give him options.
Consider my thread edited.
Jag, thanks for being an honest host. You've just earned a place on my 'recommended hosts' list ;)
I usually don't mind at all if someone *asks* for hosts to respond, but there is a grey line somewhere, and Matt has stated that ads must be avoided as much as possible, since there is a specific forum for it.
jtan15 09-10-2000, 09:40 PM mike-m,
Hey, I have the perfect plan for you. Send me an e-mail at vince@jtan.com. :)
Or you could make life easier for all of the hosts itching this post and post your e-mail address, because as BC said, we can't post our offerings. :)
Vincent,
LOL!
Strictly speaking, I do not want to sound like Matt (the Sysadmin) since I have absolutely no moderating powers whatsoever. However, Matt and I did have a thread in the past (as you may recall) about ads, and he did specifically state to avoid ads, since there is a forum for it. A few here and there is tolerated, but when the no. starts to increase, then other hosts (not the regular ones, more the other hosts looking for more business and occasionally popping by) also jump in and it breaks down. I'm just trying to help by drawing a line in the sand and asking the hosts (99.5% of which have fully co-operated) to observe.
-Edward- 09-11-2000, 05:33 AM I'll back BC with tera-byte.com . Extremly good service , very fast servers and fast technical support. They seemed to have a problem with there connection this weekend though on the Hwang server.
also try http://www.hostrocket.com an alabanza host with good features and very cheap. Excellent tech support. I think i must of confussed John last night i was talking to him for nearly 2 hours about the most minor problem :-).
jtan15 09-11-2000, 07:18 AM BC,
Yeah, I agree. This place would go under if EVERY company lurking posted a message in every thread about their plans. :)
AtlantaWebhost.com 09-11-2000, 07:55 AM Dear Mike,
There are several organizations that can provide the services that you have specified. As for my company, we have a setup fee, but we have been known the make deals with people.
Custom Error Pages
Anyone who provides support for Unix should provide support for all custom error pages. They are merely the function of a settings file called HTACCESS. For example:
ErrorDocument 401 /401.shtml
ErrorDocument 403 /403.shtml
ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml
ErrorDocument 500 /500.shtml
Each line defines how one error is handled.
FTP Accounts
I do not know how many hosts provide extra FTP accounts. With our plans, users can create up to 24 extra FTP logins.
Commercial Use and Banners Allows
Both of these should be standard for any organization. One thing you should look at if you host your own banners is how many visitors you receive. Some organizations limit the number of CGI programs that can run at once.
Other
File permissions can easily be set through an advanced FTP program like WS_FTP or through Telnet. You should be able to host RealPlayer G2 files anywhere since the software is capable of streaming content over an HTTP connection.
Best regards,
Frank Rietta
Marty 09-11-2000, 11:13 AM I can recommend Atlanta Web Hosting (http://www.atlantawebhost.com) as they have everything that you are asking for. I have a site hosted with them and have nothing but positive things to say about the service. Mr. Rietta was a pleasure to work with.
