View Full Version : 2Checkout?
Ericd 08-16-2001, 07:51 PM Anyone has experience with 2checkout?
I searched but not much found.
I am going either with them or revecom...and i'll choose by reliability as both give me about the same amount after their commissions.
So, are they reliable?
nozol 08-17-2001, 04:31 AM We had experience with both of them. I have written a comparison between them and click bank also. You can read the comparison at http://www.ghazi.net/download/cc.html

Ericd 08-17-2001, 09:52 AM Thanks, i'll take a look at it.
Since you had experience, are they reliable? Are they often down like RevEcom?
nozol 08-17-2001, 10:25 AM 2checkout are the best we tried until now. They are reliable. They are better than revecom in that they process credit cards in real time. Revecom captures credit cards then process them later. This is a very big minus because if credit card is declined, which happens a lot, you need to contact your customer and explain that he should pay again. That sometimes do not convince customers and your reputation is gone.
2checkout is better, we are using their service for around 3 months now with no problems.

Ahmed
Ericd 08-17-2001, 10:52 AM Thanks for the info, Ahmed.
nozol 08-17-2001, 10:54 AM You are most welcome.
kwimberl 08-17-2001, 11:46 AM I signed up with them last night. We'll see how it goes...
Sesran 08-23-2001, 12:09 AM Was wondering if anyone had any updates on 2Checkout ?
Also, I can not find anywhere on their site where it says that they have a hold back charge. Any current users can confirm they do or do not have a hold back and what it is? Any information would be appreciated.
nozol 08-23-2001, 05:39 AM Hold back or reserve is explained at their web site at http://www.2checkout.com/faqs.htm#reserve

Ahmed
WTFHosting 08-24-2001, 06:13 PM We've recently switched to 2checkout and haven't had any troubles. Their support team is quick and very professional. We haven't experienced any downtime as of yet. The realtime credit card processing is a major plus. We're very satisfied with their services. The only suggestions for improvement would be more in depth sales reports and the ability to have custom form fields on the order form.
cactus 08-25-2001, 07:05 AM I like them a lot and had the pleasure to comunicate via email with John Travillian and he has been very helpful when I signed up for an account recently for one of my sites.
It's very easy to add/delete products and they send you daily reports and you can always login to your merchant area to view your stats. All merchants automatically qualify as an affiliate for them where when anyone signed up through your site. You received $9.00 debited to your account.
Chicken 08-25-2001, 01:56 PM Can you do one-time setup fees (plus monthly fee) with the reoccuring monthly fee thereafter?
Ericd 08-25-2001, 02:05 PM I finally signed with them. I like the service.
And yes, you can add a setup fee and have recurring daily, monthly, yearly fees after. You can put the recurring for 1-12 days, months, years.
What's great about them is that you can have your own header and footer.
kwimberl 08-27-2001, 10:18 AM So far, so good. I haven't received a deposit from them yet, but that's ok -- I haven't been scheduled to yet. I'll keep you all posted.
Although you cannot assign custom fields on the signup form, you can get use your own forms and they will return codes etc. Really it's a nice deal. The owner is nice too. :-)
Chicken 08-27-2001, 08:52 PM Ok one last one...
As was discussed in the revecom thread, can you adjust the monthly fee of one particular account. The example used was that the person signs up for a $10/mo. plan but then orders $5 extra worth of pop accounts (whatever). Is there a means to handle this type of situation?
kwimberl 08-27-2001, 09:30 PM This cannot be done without the client signing up again. You can have them signup for "extra pop accounts" or something of the sort that you create...
Chicken 08-27-2001, 11:07 PM So the choice is:
Revecom +
On-line Check
Email them to change price that account is paying.
2CheckOut +
Realtime processing
Hmmmmmmmmm
