Hello,
Just got a raq4 and Im wondering how to use it as a nameserver. I want to use it for ns1.mydomain.com. Ive read through a lot of posts on this forum, but no one has come out and specifically laid out what needs to be done. I've also tried raqsetup.com but it didnt help me much.
Thanks for the help.

http://www.raqresources.com/dns.htm
(sorry for my English)
(1) Virtual Sites:
-Setup a virtual site ns1.domain.com with IP1.
-Setup a virtual site ns2.domain.com with IP2.
(2) DNS:
-A record ns1.domain.com to IP1.
-A record ns2.domain.com to IP2.
-PTR record IP1 to ns1.domain.com.
-PTR record IP2 to ns2.domain.com
(3) Setting up primary and secondary DNS
In you RaQ Level administration go to
/control panel/ network /
Give the ip of the Primary DNS Server & Secondary DNS Server
After you enter that information press Save Changes
(4) change the "Start of Authority (SOA) Configuration"
for every domain.com and put ns1.domain.com & ns2.domain.com with this time 3600, 900, default, 3600

with some registrant like internic or networksolutions
Kapil
serv, that's a great help! Much clearer and better than other raq help site i visited.
It is the line up of your A records and MX records
push the button with the pencil...

I have actually looked at the internic site a couple of times and so far I am still not clear how to actually register a nameserver with internic.
Do you have anymore info that you could pass along?
Cheers
Mark
I think you have to login to your registrar control panel and check on a option that allow you to register nameserver for your domain.
Else, you had to mail to your registrar staff to get them update for you.
