Just looking for some info on these puppies : http://commerce-29.www.ibm.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1920264&cntrfnbr=1&prmenbr=1&cntry=036&lang=en_AU&scrfnbr=89&shoptype=D

Is anyone using them? How would they stack up to a Cobalt RAQ4?

Any suggestions for software? I'd like to run Linux Redhat 6 or 7, Apache etc.

Thanks.

Well its definatly not bad, i think its pricey, but it depends what your trying to do with it.

I think you can find better deals then that. What do you need in a server

Also if possible go Pentium not celeron. I think you will see better performace. The video card really doesnt matter in a server.

It has good RAM upgrade ability which is good. Not too bad

I'm looking at co-locating a server in australia and it just so happens that my girlfriend is a state merchandising rep for IBM. I can probably get a better deal on one but they don't ship with software.

That leaves me with the issues of configuring and testing etc etc.

It will be the first time i set up a real web server. I've had a bit of expereince but not much. Willing to learn :)

To me, it is too costly for that low specs.
:D

They are nice, but they are over priced in my opinion.
