Does anyone have experiences with csoft.net? They seem to offer a lot (1 GB of storage space on a $30 per month account!).

From what they say on their website, their staff seem to be very skilled UNIX techies, so that I would think they may be more technologically advanced than the average webhost.

Hmm, two of the horror stories that I found sound really bad! 1 GB of storage space for $25 per month is tempting, though...

I'm camping out on their IRC channel now (irc.csoft.net #csoft) to see if I can get any more insight into their service.

From what I've heard, they tend to be pretty strict with their system resource usage... I believe they used to (dont know if they still do) have a rule disallowing pages which made a MySQL connection on each hit.

Try looking through their docs for info on that, I think thats where I saw it. That was almost a year ago though, so I dunno if they have a new policy. $25/mo for 1 gig is nice, but as always, you usually get what you pay for.

i got my account cancel at csoft.net.

after emailing tech and support for 2 weeks i finally gave the account department a try.

they confirmed that my credit card was charged at that i payed for all services.

after that they must have told tech to email me back. after a apollogy and an asurrance that i will be online within hours.

csoft.net never setup my account again.

nor did tech return any emails.

very bad support. stay away if you want to do something serious.

Please don't bring back old threads.
